I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that we have a really great trip scheduled to Mexico August 14th-16th working with the Kumeyaay Indian community just outside of Ensenada. The bad news is that so far, the trip is in danger of being postponed due to lack of those committed.
Here is some more good news: it’s not too late to go!!! If you would like to be a part of this trip, please let me (Brian Field) brian.field@calvarycc.org or 818 575-2266 know by this Wednesday, August 5th. I know… that’s in 2 days. Think spontaneous. Seriously though, pray about it and really consider if you should be going. Dave & Krysta Christensen have committed to leading the trip and are an awesome couple passionate about Jesus. They have lots of missions experience in Mexico (and beyond) and have strong relationship with Luis & Mimi Ojeda. The plan is to camp at the Kumeyaay village and engage with the community. There will also be some people from Luis & Mimi’s church who will join us for the weekend.
Trip Cost: $100 (that includes transportation: the team will be taking Calvary vans) Due by Monday, August 10th
If you have any other questions about the trip please don’t hesitate to call me. Again, if we do not get enough people to go, we will look at postponing until the first or second weekend in September. Please keep that in mind if August 14th-16th does not work with your schedule
