Craig McCord founded Workers for the Harvest Ministries to plant churches and care for abused and abandoned children in the Philippines. He and his family have eaten ants, snails and cobra, slept on hard wood floors after hikes lasting many hours and slid down slippery rain soaked mountain sides grabbing at the jungle vegetation for dear life. Why would we sell all our belongings to give our lives to do this? Because Jesus gave everything for us (Phil.2:5-11), and said, “as the Father sent Me, so I send you” (Jn.20:21). The joy of seeing people come to Christ is so much better than owning stuff! Craig, Mary-Anne and Patrick will be leaving for full-time mission service in the remote areas of northern Philippines on October 25. Their goal is to plant churches in unreached areas, mentor pastor trainees and empower local leadership to continue evangelism through a mobile training institute. They also plan to participate in Bible translation and create worship music in the Maeng language and style and assist at the Orphans Home. We would like some Calvary families and individuals to pray and support the McCords in this effort.
