HONDURAS

The Trees of Knowledge Foundation provides Educational Sponsorship for low-income children and parents of the open-air market in downtown Teguciagalpa, Honduras. The majority of these families earn $2-5 a day and have less than a sixth grade education. Unfortunately, many of their children will follow in the same steps as their parents as the quality of public education is dismal. However, by providing educational scholarship to attend a private, bilingual Christian school, we are breaking the cycle of illiteracy and poverty and equipping kids with the skills they need to succeed in life. What a powerful testimony of the Gospel!
